Healthcare: Workforce & Regional Care Leadership
Overview
Healthcare is one of the South Shore’s largest and fastest-growing employment sectors. IMPACT South Shore is focused on strengthening healthcare workforce pipelines and elevating the region as a destination for high-quality care.

A key component of this work is promoting the “Medical Wey” along the Route 18 corridor, as part of the broader Healthcare Highway spanning from Quincy to Plymouth — highlighting the depth, accessibility, and excellence of medical care across the region.

Strategic Priorities
  • Strengthening education-to-career pathways in healthcare
  • Addressing workforce shortages across clinical and support roles
  • Promoting regional collaboration among healthcare providers
  • Advancing the visibility of the South Shore as a healthcare destination

Impact Goals

  • Increase regional coordination and shared solutions
  • Enhance awareness of healthcare access and career opportunities
