About Us

What We Do
IMPACT South Shore is a comprehensive, multi-year blueprint to promote economic growth, job creation, and stronger communities on the South Shore of Massachusetts. We aim to diversify the regional economy, compete for sought-after jobs and talent, and raise the quality of life for all residents.

Our accomplishments since 2016 include launching a: housing plan, collaborating with municipalities, working on mass transit issues, and convening groups to address development concerns.

Who We Are
IMPACT South Shore is guided by the South Shore Economic Development Corporation (SSEDC), a not-for-profit subsidiary of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce. As the leading voice for our region's businesses, the South Shore Chamber facilitates collaborations between businesses, government, and non-profits to strengthen our communities and economy.

Other contributors include our: funders, local municipalities, and local officials committed to implementing the South shore 2030 roadmap.

The ultimate success of our work will hinge on our region's ability to cooperate and collaborate.
"What I've found is that the Chamber is unique. It's not only a classic chamber from a member engagement perspective but what they are is a real private/public partnership that drives economic development on the South Shore."
